Hudson Valley Born & Brewed.

We like to call Lasting Joy a love letter to a place, a craft, and a community.

First, the place: the verdant hills, flowing river, and fertile farmland whose beauty inspired its very own school of painting.

Second, the craft: the art and science of fermenting local grains honed over millennia, rooted in tradition but evolving with every new brewer who boils their first batch of wort to make a brew they can call their own.

Most of all: a community. The diverse collective of artists, farmers, makers, writers, crafts and trades people we get to call our neighbors.

Lasting Joy is a celebration of the ways these three elements alchemize into memories made around our campfires or cozied up to the bar. The impromptu meet ups with friends, and the 50th birthday parties planned with care and intention so guests can fly in from out of town. Soccer club end of season parties and sunny Saturday afternoons where the world finally feels like it pauses, just for a moment.

We fell in love with the Hudson Valley over a decade ago, when our four children were barefoot toddlers running in the grass, spending their formative years with the beauty of the Hudson Valley as the backdrop of their childhood memories. Lasting Joy opened in June 2022 to a world battered by the pandemic, ourselves weary from two years of construction marked by delays, setbacks, and supply chain shocks.

From day one you have welcomed us and understood the vision of Lasting Joy: a love letter to a place, a craft, and a community, and a project devoted to finding joy wherever and whenever we can.

It’s our lasting joy to welcome you here.
